I was raised in the wild beauty of Alaska- barefoot in the forest, camping under the stars, fishing, hiking, and feeling most at home in the great outdoors. Nature has always grounded me and brought me back to what matters most: connection, creation, and the beauty God placed all around us.
When I'm not behind the lens, you'll find me knee-deep in motherhood- chasing my feral toddler, snuggling my newborn daughter, tending to the garden, pursuing a full-time college degree, and soaking up every fleeting, beautiful moment with my family.
Those who know me say I'm ambitious. I just see it as a deep desire to bring light, serve others, and create meaning along the way.
My photography journey began in 2019 with a Canon Rebel T7, purchased to help market my brick-and-mortar boutique. But somewhere during the stillness of the pandemic, while photographing a friend's pregnancy "just for fun", I felt a shift. As the boutique closed, Waywind was born- my creative refuge and purpose when the world stood still.
My work thrives in natural light, open air, and the sacred spaces found between wildflowers, mountain peaks, wind-swept hills, and chasing sunrise & sunset. There's something breathtaking about the way He created this world- the way light dances on the hills and stories unfold in the quiet moments.
My mission? To listen deeply, relieve the pressure of planning, and create a space where you feel fully seen and held through every step of your session.
Whether we're staying local or adventuring far, we're telling your story- together.
Thanks for being here. I can't wait to meet you!
With love,
Kellie
